The Importance of Mouthguards

Over the years, there have been plenty of advancements in sporting equipment to help keep athletes protected and injury free.

One piece of protection that truly does a lot to help protect athletes is the mouthguard.

If your child is involved in sports such as hockey or football you’re probably aware of crucial a mouthguard is to your child. However, these are not the only sports that would require a mouthguard. In fact, there are not many sports or recreational activities that should be played without a mouthguard!

Mouthguards are not just for your teeth, although that is where it is worn. Mouthguards also protect the athlete’s face, jaw, tongue, and lips. If your child is starting any sports or currently involved in any, make sure they have a mouthguard. Safety should always be a top priority.
