CROWNS
Crowns cover the entire surface of a tooth, boosting the tooth’s appearance, stability, and shape. They can be constructed from one of the several different types of materials, and there are many reasons why someone may necessitate one. Here are a few:

So, how is a crown installed? First, Dr. Kinn will take an X-ray of a tooth they think is at risk for decay or disease. They then will prepare the tooth in order to better fit the crown. Next, an impression of the tooth (which will act as a model for the crown) will be created and shipped to a dental lab, where the permanent crown will be made. The patient will then receive an impermanent crown to wear until the permanent one gets back from the lab.
Using proper attention and care, a crown can last for many years.
DENTAL IMPLANTS
Historic evidence shows that dental implants date back to 600 AD. It is been discovered that ancient Mayans implanted false teeth by driving tooth-shaped seashells into the jaw. Thankfully, science has progressed greatly since then, and contemporary dental implants, made from titanium, are implanted using modern techniques. These titanium implants fuse to the bone through a process known as osseointegration. Bone-loss normally occurs in the case of a missing tooth, but the dental implant prevents this from happening.
Dental implants are an optimal fix for a patient who’s missing one or more teeth. The process needs some time to finish, as the implants are surgically placed into the jawbone and require some time to heal before a crown is placed over top. Once finished, the implant/crown combo flawlessly mirrors the function and appearance of a natural tooth.
